Introduction
Welcome to SLO Music Lessons ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website at slomusiclessons.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Accounts
To access courses and lessons, you must create an account. You may sign up using an email and password, a magic link, or Google sign-in. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Course Access and Content
When you purchase a course, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to access that course content through the Site. You may not:
- Share your account or login credentials with others.
- Download, copy, redistribute, or resell any course content, including videos, images, or written materials.
- Record or screen-capture lesson videos.
All course content remains the intellectual property of SLO Music Lessons and Scott Conroy.
Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- All prices are listed in US dollars.
- Access to purchased courses is granted immediately upon successful payment.
- Refund requests may be made within 7 days of purchase by contacting scott@slomusiclessons.com. Refunds are issued at our discretion.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site's functionality.
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the Site.
Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Google, Stripe, Cloudflare, Amazon SES, and YouTube. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times or free from errors. Musical progress depends on individual practice and effort — we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SLO Music Lessons and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or its content.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Luis Obispo County, California.
